The Mena region’s fintech landscape is booming, with over 800 start-ups worth $15.5 billion
Rashid Ali Al Niamy, Executive Director of the Municipality Services Sector at Al Ain Municipality, has announced that Al Ain Municipality will now be fully responsible for booking of public wedding halls in Al Ain city, instead of the private companies that are managing the halls.
The decision will come into effect from August, he said.
Al Niamy said the wedding halls can also be booked on-line from the municipality web site.
The move comes following demands from the Emirati youths, as the private companies were allegedly delaying booking of the halls.
Al Niamy said the municipality would construct new wedding halls in Al Ain city and its surrounding areas to make it easier for UAE nationals to organise marriage parties.
