Although an amateur one, the Munich Police Choir was founded as far back as 1911, being one of the oldest existing in Germany. The 90- member choir includes police officers from different ranks and departments of the German Police, who are all singing under the baton of Max Eberl, the choir's conductor for 20 years. In 1982, the Munich Police Choir had performed "Marching to the 1001 nights" concerts in Dubai and Sharjah.
