The girl's mother has alleged that the teacher beat up her daughter without any reason while she was waiting for her parents to return home after the closing hours of the school. "My daughter was stunned when the teacher started pushing and beating her in front of other students. The attack was merciless and shocking," she alleged.

The mother said she called the Al Ain Police and filed her complaint against the teacher.

However, when contacted, an official from the Al Ain Education Zone (AAEZ) said the woman's complaint was "false and fabricated".

The official said, "the student, who is studying in Grade 3, had held the teacher's finger when the latter gestured at her, asking her to quietly wait for her parents without creating a mess."

The official said that the student refused to obey the teacher and answered her rudely. That's why the teacher gestured at her with a pointed finger, the official added.

The official further told Khaleej Times that it was the student, and not the teacher, who had violated the AAEZ regulations.
