The police is well prepared for more patrols in Bur Dubai and Diera, he said. The patrols will cover the internal and external roads of Dubai, especially during the Iftar time.

Dubai Police will be on the lookout for speeding vehicles before Iftar.

The official said most of the accidents are caused by arrogant drivers who overspeed and urged motorists to follow the traffic laws and respect the pedestrians while rushing for Iftar.

Heavy vehicles during the rush hours have to be kept at minimum to avoid traffic jams during the holy month, he further added.
