More rain expected in the Emirate

Rains flooded the streets of Jolan, Julfar, Al Rams, Sha’am and Nakheel in Ras Al Khaimah and also created big pools of water in certain areas.

The Police registered a few minor accidents on Sunday due to the slippery roads caused by the rainwater, but no injuries have been reported.

The rains, however, did not cause any damage to people’s homes or property.

Weather forecasters in the emirate have predicted more rains in the coming days and have urged residents, especially those wishing to visit the wadis to be careful. Police have urged motorists to be cautious while on the roads to avoid accidents as more rains are expected in the coming days.
