Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, director of the General Department of Traffic at the Dubai Police, said the police is always implementing and upgrading cutting-edge technologies to detect violations, including cameras that detect motorists who use the hard shoulder, or violation of lane discipline, Arabic daily Emarat Al Youm reported.
He added that all society members should participate in the various traffic initiatives that Dubai Police launches to maintain safety on the roads. One such initiative was the traffic fine discount, that encourages motorists to drive carefully for extended periods of time to avail attractive discounts.
Al Mazrouei said the police have increased the number of radars and cameras to detect violations.
