Money donated to help prisoners

DUBAI — A Dubai businessman has donated Dh 2,200,000 to the Dubai Punitive and Corrective Establishment of the Dubai Police for those prisoners’ rehabilitation programme who was pardoned by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, according to Brigadier Mohammed Humied Al Swaidi, Director of Punitive and Corrective Establishment.

He said the businessman Ahmed Ali Al Abdulla, owner of a Dubai company, will pay Dh100, 000 every month to help the prisoners to meet their financial obligations. The police had appealed to charity organisation and community members to help the prisoners.
