Monetary help for students

AJMAN - The Human Appeal International (HAI) has distributed about Dh400,000 among needy students of seven private schools in Ajman during the current academic year. The cash assistance helped the students pay all or part of their tuition fees and also encouraged them to pursue further education. HAI, which has its headquarters in Ajman, is a voluntary non-governmental charity organisation for development and relief works.

Ahmed Yousif Abdullah, Assistant Secretary General of HAI, said that the association aimed to develop education by establishing schools, kindergartens and vocational centres, providing financial assistance and schoolbags to needy students, equipping schools and education centres with equipment and necessary tools and contributing to establishment and management of Quranic education centres.

He said that the HAI was distributing Dh500,000 at the beginning of each academic year to schools in the form of tuition fees for orphans and other deserving students. It also provides students with schoolbags, uniforms, shoes and other necessities. "The beneficiaries are from poor background but with a proven academic excellence," he said.
