Shaikh Mohammed showed his support for Bu Tinah by casting his vote at the Environment Agency — Abu Dhabi’s (EAD) booth at the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) during his tour here on Wednesday.

Bu Tinah, located around 130 km west of Abu Dhabi, is a unique island and a core area of the Marawah Marine Biosphere Reserve, the first marine biosphere reserve in the region.

In spite of the harsh temperatures and salinity, its habitats and species, including coral, seagrass, dugongs and sea turtles, continue to thrive, making the island an important location and living lab for climate change studies for years to come.

His Highness Shaikh Mohammed commended the efforts being taken to promote awareness about Bu Tinah Island and Abu Dhabi’s rich biodiversity and urged all those who love the environment and the UAE to vote.

The Bu Tinah Voting booth is located at stand H9 – 30.
