Mohammed urges police to continue with their good work

DUBAI — His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, inaugurated here yesterday the new premises of the Dubai Police Headquarters.

Shaikh Mohammed toured the various sections of the Dh150 million edifice, an ultra-modern five-storey building which reflects the civil progress of the UAE. He toured the training ground and reviewed a parade of police officers from various section.

Shaikh Mohammed officially opened the building by cutting the ribbon, in the presence of Interior Minister Lt-Gen. Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, other Shaikhs and senior officials.

He attended a briefing on security activities in the operations room. During a meeting with Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police Lt-Gen. Dhahi Khalfan Tamim and senior officers of Dubai Police, Shaikh Mohammed discussed issues related to their duties and urged them to continue their good work.

In a statement, Lt-General Dhahi, pledged, on behalf of the Dubai Police to remain the symbol of fairness, loyalty, truthfulness, justice, excellence, quality work and the strict implementation of law without fear, favour or discrimination according to race, creed or religion.
