DUBAI — Eighty male and female journalists belonging to the UAE Journalists’ Association have left for the holy city of Makkah to perform Umra at the expense of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

This initiative is a part of the continuous support of Shaikh Mohammed to journalists in recognition of the important role they play for the upliftment of the their country and the community.

Mohammed Yousof, the head of the association, conveyed the gratitude of the members of the association to Shaikh Mohammed for his continuous invaluable support to the journalists. The journalists had left for Saudi Arabia in two groups on Tuesday night.
