Mohammed receives outgoing Japan envoy

DUBAI — His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, received here yesterday at his Za’abeel Palace Japanese Ambassador Hajime Tsujimoto, who came to bid him farewell at the end of his tenure in the UAE.

During the meeting, the outgoing ambassador expressed profound gratitude to the Dubai ruler and all UAE officials for the cooperation given to him during the course of discharging his duties in the UAE, adding that the cooperation had great positive impact on the improvement of the ties between the UAE and japan.

Shaikh Mohammed commended the ambassador for the efforts he exerted during his tenure in the country. He said the ambassador had served his country very well by working hard to boost the relations of friendship and economic, trade and cultural cooperation between the UAE and Japan.

Present at the meeting were Mohammed Abdullah Al Gargawi, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director-General of Dubai’s protocol department and a number of officials.
