The book was presented to Shaikh Mohammed by its author Venu Rajamony, the outgoing Consul-General of India in Dubai, on the eve of India’s 60th Republic Day.

The 260 page coffee-table book describes the relations between the two countries in all its facets, exploring the ancient India-UAE alliance and including insights into the historical, political, cultural and business aspects of the association between the two countries.

In his message for the book, Shaikh Mohammed said, “We look upon India as our neighbours and its people as friends; we consider India a force for peace. It is an active member of the Non-aligned Nations Organisations and the United Nations, as well as a great economic power, not only regionally but also internationally. With this in mind, we are keen to maintain and enhance existing bridges of cooperation with India for the mutual benefit of both nations, so that the security and the economic stability of the Gulf region, the Indian subcontinent and the whole world can be achieved.”
