Mohammed launches Green Line trial run

Shaikh Mohammed launched the experimental operational phase of Dubai Metro’s Green Line in the presence of Shaikh Hamdan on Wednesday.

DUBAI - His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched the experimental operational phase of Dubai Metro’s Green Line in the presence of Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, on Wednesday.

Shaikh Mohammed boarded the metro from Dubai Healthcare City in a trip that took him to Khalid bin Waleed, Al Ghubaiba, Al Ras and Al Ittihad stations, where the Green and Red Line meet. He continued his trip from Al Ittihad station to the Police Headquarters station to the last Etisalat station in Al Qusais district. The inauguration of the Green Line was also attended by Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director of the Court of the Ruler of Dubai, Lt-General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, Shaikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Jumaa Al Maktoum, Mattar Mohammed Al Tayer, Board Chairman and Executive Director of the Roads and Transports Authority, and other officials.
