Mohammed hails ‘Dubai 24 Hours’


His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Thursday commended the positive and constructive partnership that prevailed between the government and the private sectors during the ‘Dubai 24 Hours’ shopping initiative, as part of Eid in Dubai celebrations.

Shaikh Mohammed said the unique harmony between key private companies and the Dubai government vision is one of the significant factors behind Dubai’s success and progress.

The innovative ‘Dubai 24 Hours’ shopping scheme, which runs under the slogan ‘Shop All Day, Shop All Night’, allows shoppers to experience a non-stop shopping spree during the weekends at selected malls. Dubai’s malls open round-the-clock for three consecutive weekends from October 18 up to November 2 as part of the Eid celebrations.

Twenty-four hour shopping and other events planned by the tourism, retail and hospitality sectors in the city will reinforce Dubai as the leading destination.

The All Night Long weekend initiative has received overwhelming response from visitors and shoppers, as well as local and international media.

Malls and entertainment centres treat visitors to colourful events, traditional Arabian hospitality, roaming entertainment, parades, impressive live performances, children’s workshops, and special shopping and dining offers.
