Mohammed bin Zayed Awards Talented Students of Al Tayebat School

ABU DHABI - Al Tayebat School students and staff have expressed their deep gratitude to H.H. General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC), for his great support of education in the Emirate and for his keenness to provide students with top class educational services.

The talented students have been given a Certificate of Merit by H.H the Crown Prince after they had exhibited their wonderful paintings before H.H. earlier this month at Qaser Al Bahr, Abu Dhabi. Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Director General of Abu Dhabi Education Council distributed the certificates on the 16 talented students today in Al Tayebat School in Al Ain in the presence of Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, Executive Director of School Operations and Fatma Khalfan Al Sheryani the School Principal.

“The superior art works I have witnessed reveal that our students have sophisticated artistic talent that will enable them to become top-class professional painters that UAE will be proud of in the future, said H.H. Sheikh Mohamed while receiving the students.

Al Tayebat School students and staff said that “we are pleased to receive this kind appreciation from HH Sheikh Mohamed, who, by all means, provides support to students in order for them to become renowned scientists, artists and thinkers and actively take part in the development of their Emirate and Country. They added that such honor will motivate them to do their best in order to fulfill Abu Dhabi government’s aspirations & goals to best serve their beloved Country.

Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Director General of Abu Dhabi Education Council, thanked H.H the Crown Prince for his great interest and insight for the development of the educational system in the Emirate in order to provide world-class education that matches the best international practices and standards. “H.H. is regularly meeting and encouraging students to develop their performance and improve their skills in order to achieve excellence in their education and professional career”, said Al Khaili.

“The keenness of HH to receive & meet students and visit their schools reflects the fact that education in Abu Dhabi is of highest priority to our leadership. Enhancing students’ creative thinking, problem solving, team work, scientific research and interpersonal skills are being improved and sustained by the introduction of advanced teaching and learning strategies, latest IT infrastructure and various art, sports and extracurricular activities” added Al Khaili.

Dr. Al Khaili quoted H.H. saying “all strategies, plans and policies developed by the Government aim to provide students with the best learning environment needed for preparing our youth to take part in the economic development as our human capital is the most valuable asset in creating a sustainable and knowledge-based economy”.

Dr. Al Khaili added that ADEC’s 10-year strategic plan, launched last September, focuses on developing student skills and encouraging them to be creative in all areas of knowledge. The strategy pays special attention to arts activities, since they help enhance students’ characters via improving their artistic and aesthetic senses. “Sayfuna Mumayaz” and Summer Challenge” are among the programs carried out by ADEC and which include various art activities.

Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, ADEC’s Executive Director of School Operations, said that the kind honoring of Abu Dhabi students by H.H. the Crown Prince is a motive that will encourage all students to improve their performance in order to receive such honor. “ADEC, under the directives of H.H., is seeking to provide students and schools with the best learning environment that will motivate them to be creative and innovative in their education and professional career” he added.

Maitha Al Shamsi, the arts teacher stated that she feels proud that her students received this award from H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as this gesture will affect the students’ morale and self confidence significantly and will motivate them to be more creative in the future.
