Through these events, MoF emphasised its commitment and responsibility towards the UAE community. These initiatives were held in collaboration with associations that speciliase in providing humanitarian aid for those in need.

The Ministry’s charitable activities aim to encourage its employees to support the campaign launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to “Clothe 1 Million Children” for deprived children around the world. Additionally, the Ministry, in collaboration with the Red Crescent Authority, set up an Iftar campaign where 1000 people were provided with an Iftar meal.

The MoF held its Annual Ramadan gathering for its staff and senior leadership. The event was attended by a number of orphans from Dar Zayed for Family Care and members of the Environmental Agency along with a number of media attendees.

Commenting on the Ramadan activities, Mr. Musabah Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Assistant Under-Secretary of Support Services Sector at MoF, said, “The Ministry is committed to organising and taking part in social activities. This reflects our strategy of integrating with members of the UAE’s local community and of providing a high level of government financial services.”

Al Suwaidi added, “The Ministry chose to participate in Zayed Humanitarian Day by providing clothing for deprived children around the world. Through our different Ramadan initiatives, we wanted to encourage the UAE community to participate in these important religious and national events and to promote humanitarian contributions on a global level.”

It should be noted that during this year’s Ramadan gathering, MoF presented its attendees with a special film on the life and achievements of the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. In addition, gifts were distributed to all participants on the occasion of Zayed Humanitarian Day.
