All these offences take place in the presence of very few employees at the Ministry of Labour, who are tasked with looking after the affairs of workers in terms of inspection, which is significant and very important since it is regarded as the frontline job in confronting the unhealthy phenomenon.

Now, the Ministry of Labour has swung into action and pursued the logic of confrontation to nip the evil in the bud by allocating Dh120 million for the job.

The ministry has allotted the amount of money to improve the mechanisms of labour inspection, and upgrade the standard of inspection by beefing up the number of field inspectors countrywide.

The ministry has also taken a long time to adopt the means of e-inspection as stated in a cross section of the local Press.

It is worth mentioning that as many as 80 inspectors are now working countrywide, and they should inspect nearly 350,000 establishments.
