Interestingly, she clarified the school administration had earlier sought approval from the Ministry of Education (MoE) for the fee hike as a new school building had been provided for the students with more facilities in the Musaffah area of the capital. The MoE approved the hike midway during the 2007-2008 school session, with the specific condition that it will be implemented only in the 2008-2009 academic session.

However, the school management decided to flout this condition and implemented the hike during the current session itself. This unwarranted decision prompted many parents to lodge a complaint with the MoE. Representatives of the parents of the students, earlier, also met the Minister of Education, Dr Hanif Hassan, who assured them of a prompt response in the matter.

A final verdict from the MoE and ADEZ is now awaited, according to one of the parents who is pursuing the matter with the MoE.
