A list of the books prescribed by the ministry to be taught at the private schools for the next academic year was issued by Ali Maihad Al Suwaidi, Under-Secretary of Private and Qualitative Education at the ministry.

All private schools in the country have to teach three subjects as per the ministry's curricula namely Arabic language, Social Studies and Islamic Studies for Muslim students in any private school.

Schools should send in their applications specifying the number of copies of each text book to the Curriculum and School Books Centre at the ministry ahead of time to enable officials to make arrangements for printing the books before the begining of the next academic year.
