The Award is a national initiative which aims to spread the spirit of hard competition among the youth; highlight the talent and creativity in the field of photography; document images that represent the national dimension and heritage and attract professional photographers and motivate them.
The jury evaluated 185 entries which satisfied criteria and conditions including modern idea and creativity, lighting, purity and clarity of the image, and configuration items to select winners of the three categories.
Sulieman Ahmed Abdullah bin Eid Al Hammadi won the Professional category Award, Hamda Abdullah received the Amateur category award (up to 18 years), while the Youth category (15-18 years) went to Ahmed Samir Badran.
Appreciation awards were also granted to five distinct participants. Amina Khalil, Director of Community Development Department at the Ministry, and head of jury, said the 4th cycle had seen remarkable progress in terms of quality, beauty and in-depth idea of competing photos.
The professional category focused on cultural impact, community relations and renaissance and civilisation in the UAE, while the Amateur category dealt with metacarpal, local handicrafts and the Youth category was about Emirates in the eyes of its people.
