Ministry of Agriculture organises workshop on wildlife trade
DUBAI - Abdullah Ahmed bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Under-secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture, opened here on Monday a training workshop on convention on international trade in endangered species of wild fauna and flora (Cites).
The workshop is being attended by a number of veterinary doctors and technicians from the Ministry of Agriculture. Representatives from the UAE municipalities and custom departments are also attending the workshop.
The Ministry of Agriculture is the institution over-seeing the implementation of the Cites convention, hence the need to train its personnel and those of the other relevant bodies on the convention.
