Ministry Kicks off Mission Green Earth Stand Up Drive

The Ministry of Environment and Water kicked off the campaign on Thursday, after its employees literally stood up to draw attention to the environment.The stand up session, a day earlier than the official event, was led by the Minister of Environment and Water, Rashid Ahmed bin Fahad, and across the country more than 170,000 are expected to participate on October 17, 18 and 19, with a grand closing ceremony in Dubai on the last day.

“The response has been excellent and a number of leading corporate houses are in the process of organizing Stand Up sessions,” said Rugmani Prabhakar, country coordinator for the campaign.
