The ministry, however, has encouraged school managements to educate the students on this astronomical phenomenon, reasons for its occurence and how it occurs but after taking precautions.

Meanwhile, the ministry has also approved the schooling time for private schools during Ramadan, which has been fixed at 8.30am to 2pm. Each period will last 40 minutes with a break of 15 minutes. The school canteens, however, will remain closed during the holy month.
