Minister of Health Visits Preventive Medicine Complex

UMM AL QAIWAIN - Dr. Hanif Hassan Ali Al Qassim, UAE Minister of Health, addressed all the employees of the ministry‘s sectors to implement the programs, strategic plans and initiatives of the Ministry of Health especially those related to diseases prevention, health education and awareness to achieve the required results in protecting the individuals and society from infections.

This was stated by the Minister during his visit to the preventive medicine complex in Um Al Qiwain which was opened mid April and includes 3 main sections: preventive medicine, school health, maternity and childhood.

The UAE Minister of Health launched a new initiative about health education in Um Al Qiwain preventive medicine complex including the health education booth which provides health information, brochures and pamphlets about different diseases and ways of protecting the society from these diseases.

The Minister, who was accompanied by Sultan Bin Rashid Al Kharji, Assistant Undersecretary and Director of Um Al Qiwain Medical District and Nasser Khelifa Al Budoor, Assistant Undersecretary and Director of External Relations Department and International Organization, toured the clinics, and departments of the complex where he listened an explanation and suggestions of the medical and technical staff as well as the visitors of the center.

The preventive medicine complex includes: laborers check up tests, vaccinations for all categories, school health services for public and private sector students in the emirate in addition to maternity and childhood services beginning from pregnancy healthcare to natural breastfeeding services.
