Eating out, poor hand hygiene and erratic weather may be among causes, say medics
The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) seems to be running into rough weather with miffed Tollywood superstar Pawan Kalyan, who recently launched his party ‘Jana Sena,’ deciding to field candidates in half-a-dozen Lok Sabha constituencies including the prestigious Vijayawada seat.
TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu’s cup of woes seems to be brimming not just with Pawan Kalyan’s sudden and unexpected development but also because the BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi not showing any inclination to sharing the dais with Naidu despite the alliance between the two parties.
The flashpoint for the ‘Power Star,’ as Pawan Kalyan is referred to by his fans, was the nomination of Kesineni Nani for the Vijayawada LS seat by Naidu. Pawan Kalyan was adamant that his friend industrialist-producer P Vara Prasad should be fielded from the constituency. He is likely to announce the candidature of Vara Prasad.
Though the actor-turned-politician had not committed to campaign for TDP directly, he was expected to work for the TDP-BJP alliance since he had offered support to the BJP, particularly Modi whom he met in Ahmedabad. The decision to field ‘Jana Sena’ candidates for the LS election is likely to be announced by Pawan.
This comes as a shocker for the TDP-BJP alliance, which is already fragmented with dissension in both the parties reaching a high in both the regions.
