MET tie-up with Bahrain TV

DUBAI - Bahrain's Information Minister Nabil Al Hamer visited the Middle East Television based in Dubai Media City on Thursday.

He was accompanied by a Bahrain Radio and Television delegation which included Chief Executive Khalil Al Thawadi and Chief Engineer Sami Mohammed Al Mohanna.

The minister and the delegation discussed detials of cooperation, exchange of programmes, promotions and live coverage of events with John Thomas, MET Chairman and Managing Director, Ali Hassan, Vice-Chairman, and Executive Director Sudhir Kumar.

Mr Thomas said that MET's tie-up with Bahrain Television would open up a new era in broadcasting in the region. Mr Hamer, he said, had assured full support of Bahrain.

"MET and Al Bahrain TV will compliment each other and this will benefit the viewers." he said.

Mr Hassan said: "Every effort would be made to make MET a channel with a difference.

"Bahrain's overall development, government initiatives, tourist attraction, festivals as well as activities of Bahranis and the expatriate community will be prominently featured by MET." he added.
