The new law repeals an earlier law introduced in 2016
The three-day conference, organised by the National Crisis and Emergency Management Authority (NCEMA), will be held on January 11-13 at the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) in Abu Dhabi.
“Recent years have seen epidemics and calamities returning in different forms to challenge peace and progress. H1N1 and the ensuing panic showed that even advanced healthcare systems are vulnerable in the absence of constant vigil,” said Mohammed Khalfan Al Romaithy, general manager of NCEMA.
“The CEMC is part of our continuing efforts to integrate such constant vigil into our national character by educating all concerned, especially the public,” he added.
