In a press session to highlight the media vision of the department, he urged the media to highlight the richness of heritage areas in Masfoot, Al Manama, Ajman city and other areas of the emirate, which narrate the life of ancestors.
Al Nuaimi said the department dealt with media in transparency and accepted creative criticism which helps the department to enhance its services. “Media personnel are welcome to be in the field and report the needs of the residents and forward those to the municipality to address. He stated that media is an important strategic partner of the department as it could highlight the achievements, plans and issues in accurate way.
But some time we have to admit that some media reports are prepared to create a fabricated negative picture. With the development of technology, media’s role becomes expanded. That’s why we respect its role and set up mechanisms to deal with it for the interest of the public,” he said.
“Our ambition is to use the media to promote the development of our emirates and to reflect its bright faces that include the heritage and historical spots left for us by our ancestors who struggled to ensure a better life for us. We are proud of such history and heritage and we need to tell the world about it,” he added.
