A Yemeni minister will address the Dubai Police as they mark the Martyr's Day on November 29 under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
The minister will deliver a speech, hailing the role of the UAE's soldiers in the Saudi Arabia-led Arab Coalition that is striving to restore legitimacy in Yemen.
Major-General Abdul Quddus Al Obaili, assistant commander-in-chief of Dubai Police for quality and excellence affairs, said the day is dedicated to expressing gratitude and appreciation for the UAE's fallen heroes. It is also an opportunity to show solidarity with their families, he said.
He said the Dubai Police are proud of the UAE Armed Forces, which has proved its ability to protect the homeland and its loyalty to the wise leadership.
Brigadier Dr Mohammed Al Murr, Director of the human rights department of the Dubai Police, said a video about the martyrs' sacrifices will be screened on the day. He said the police will continue offering psychological support to the martyrs' families.
