Man wins Dh50,000 during Dubai Shopping Festival sale

Dubai - He bought a jacket and later received a call from the mall that he won Dh50,000

Majid Al Futtaim in partnership with Dubai Festival & Retail Establishment (DFRE), kicked-off the 23rd edition of Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) by rewarding one lucky shopper a whopping Dh50,000 grand prize.
As part of a 12-hour sale with up to 90 per cent discounts that took place at Mall of the Emirates, City Centres Deira, Mirdif, Me'aisem, Al Shindagha and My City Centre Al Barsha on December 26, customers also had the opportunity to win a massive prize by shopping for Dh300.
Omani-national Ahmed Ali, who shopped at City Centre Me'aisem during the sale walked away with the grand prize of Dh50,000, becoming the first winner of DSF.
"I read about the flash sale in the newspaper and couldn't pass up the chance to get such great discounts on clothes," said Ali.
"I went to City Centre Me'aisem and bought a jacket for Dh400. When I got a call from the shopping mall the next day to inform me that I've won, I couldn't believe my ears. I am so happy and feel blessed to have won. I thank Majid Al Futtaim for this amazing prize."
