Man pleads not guilty to burglary charges

DUBAI — A 29-year-old Iranian yesterday pleaded not guilty to the charges of breaking open a car rental office on December 17 last year and stealing Dh10,000 belonging from there.

The case was heard at the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance.

The accused unemployed Iranian, S.H, 29, denied he stole the money belonging to a Pakistani, B.S. B.S, 44, on the other hand, testified that on the night of the incident he had closed the rental office at around 10pm and headed home. He said he arrived at his office at 9am the next morning to find out that the lock was broken open. He said when he checked the cash box, he found Dh10,000 missing.
