Man lands in prison in drugs case
DUBAI — A Kuwaiti national, Yousuf Osman, charged with bringing six grammes of Hashish to the UAE, has been sentenced by the Dubai Criminal Court to four years in jail to be followed by deportation.
Yousuf, working in the Kuwait armed forces, was arrested on January 25 at the Dubai airport when customs officials found the hashish in his pocket.
The accused said he had brought his mother to the UAE for a medical check-up.
