Man held for roommate's murder
SHARJAH — A 43-year-old Indian national, identified as A.K., was arrested yesterday for allegedly causing the death of one of his roommates and inflicting severe injuries to others with an iron bar on November 24 in the Maysalon area in Sharjah, according to a police source.
He was arrested in Dubai by the Sharjah Police in coordination with Dubai Police.
The victim, identified as 53-year-old S.R., was employed at Sharjah Khalid Port.
The police said the accused and his roommates were having drinks when a fight broke out among them over some issue. In a fit of rage, A.K. attacked the others with an iron bar and fled.
