The Dubai Criminal Court also fined Kareem Dh1,000, while it acquitted Ahmed S., a UAE national in the same case.

Kareem had stolen a car from behind a factory. The owner of the car reported the matter to Qusais police station, which monitored auto workshops and used car showrooms. Cops arrested Kareem red-handed while he was trying to sell the car along with another to Ahmed S., in the industrial area of Sharjah.

During investigations, and questioning, Kareem confessed to theft, while Ahmed said that he did not know that the car was stolen. Since investigations proved that Ahmed had no link to Ali Kareem, or that the car was stolen, the court acquitted Ahmed, while Ali Kareem was sentenced.
