Man found dead near his shop

Residents of the area said Abdul Al Gafur had performed morning prayers in Kharran mosque, after which he went back to his house, and then proceeded to his grocery shop.

“We found his body lying on the ground near his shop at around 7.30am. But we do not know about the cause of his death,” said a resident of Kharran.

A senior RAK Police officer said they were informed about the man’s death by Kharran residents. He said the body had been shifted to Ubaidullah Hospital in Nakheel, and doctors were asked to carry out forensic tests.

When Khaleej Times contacted the doctors at Kharran Hospital, they said the cause of Abdul Al Gafur’s death had not been identified as yet.
