According to court records, J.O. was on December 11, 2007 found in possession of heroin weighing 96.249 grammes.

In his testimony, police sergeant A.K., 46, stated that acting on a tip-off his anti-narcotics team set a trap for J.O. on December 11 last year. “When we arrested him near Al Assad supermarket in the Hamriyah area we took him to the nearby post office. While we were frisking him he took a roll out of one of his pockets and threw it. The roll contained heroin,” A.K. stated.

Another prosecution witness, police captain H.M., 31, told the court that the anti-narcotics unit seized another quantity of heroin from the defendant’s house in the Muraqqabat area. The next hearing is on March 30.
