MWL Secretary General stressed the need for unrestricted delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians by opening all crossings
Police identified the man as M.A., 30, Asian. He was caught red-handed.
Lieutenant-Colonel Mohammed Jassim Al Zaabi, of the Ports Police, said the man was kept under police surveillance after he was suspected of wearing a wig.
“His suspicious movements showed that he was about to do something illegal. He was caught by the Beach Security Squad as he was stealing the contents of a wallet,” said the police official.
The owner of the wallet was swimming in the sea.
The police official said catching suspected thieves red-handed was one of the duties of the Beach Security Squad’s operations. This, he said, contributed to a decrease in theft cases, as the squad had been so active in its work on Dubai beaches.
A total of 17 people were caught red-handed since January.
From January till the end of September, 370 people were arrested, including 341 violators of the Residency and Labour law, 12 wanted by security agencies besides the 17 men caught red-handed.
