Man arrested for burglaries in villas
SHARJAH - The Sharjah Police have arrested an Emirati national, allegedly for burglaries in villas in Sharjah. The police had received several complaints from owners of villas that valuables including mobile phones, laptops, jewellery and watches were stolen from their houses.
According to an official at the Criminal Investigation Department, an investigation team was immediately formed and the suspect was arrested before committing more burglaries.
The suspect confessed to the crime, said the official, adding that various stolen items were recovered from the house of the suspect during a raid.
The suspect is currently detained and will be referred to the public prosecution.
