Man accused of molesting housewife
DUBAI — A man went on trial in the Court of First Instance on Tuesday on the charge of molesting a housewife at her house.
The 31-year-old Iranian housewife said during investigation that in the afternoon of August 11, she was at home with her son. Her husband was at his work. The doorbell rang and the son opened the door. The defendant was standing at the doorstep carrying brochures about a cleaning machine.
“He asked me about my husband and when he would come back,” she said. He then barged into the apartment and began talking about the machine. He suddenly got close to her groped her. “I ran to the bedroom and he followed me there.” She screamed, asking him to go out. When she called her husband, he went to the sitting room. When she put her abaya on and headed out to tell the watchman, he got scared and ran away, she said. — mary@khaleejtimes.com
