The theatrical and musical rendition of Vivaldi’s work will coincide with an acrobatic and twirling Rock ‘n Roll performance, aimed to remix the illustrious masterpiece with the classic tones of the violin with boldness and innovation. The popular 18^th-century musical is among the boldest programme music of the Baroque period, with the refrain continually departing from and returning to an initial baseline theme. Vivaldi wrote the individual Sonnets to go along with each movement of the ‘Four Seasons’. Each sonnet is meant to work as a build-up to the finale, acting like something of an apotheosis with beautifully intricate and strong themes going off in unexpected directions.
