Prime Minister of Malaysia Mahathir Mohamad is set to be a part of the Pakistan Day parade in Islamabad as the Guest of Honour on March 23. His presence, as part of a three-day visit to the nation, demonstrates the growing bilateral relations between the countries.
The invitation was extended by Imran Khan, Prime Minister of Pakistan, with an aim to boost Pakistan's economy, trade, investments and defence.  Accompanied by a high-level delegation, PM Mohamad's itinerary included meeting Dr. Arif Alvi, the President of Pakistan, and PM Khan, followed by the signing of MOUs. The agreements would further enhance sectors such as automobiles, telecommunications, and food.
Furthermore, Malaysian palm oil companies are looking to set up a base in Pakistan's food processing industry.
