Majid to attend GFF closing ceremony tonight

DUBAI — Shaikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, will attend the finale of the week-long Gulf Film Festival (GFF) which will conclude with an awards ceremony tonight.

The ceremony will be held at the Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre. Various GCC stars will grace the red carpet. They include Abdulhussain Abdulretha, Saad Al Faraj, Mohammed Al Mansour and Zahra Arafat from Kuwait, Abdulla Abdullmalik, Shaima Sabt, Fatima Abdul Rahim, Haifa Hussain and Anwar Ahmed from Bahrain, Abdul Aziz Jassim from Qatar, and Saleh Za’al from Oman.

The cultural event gave film enthusiasts an opportunity to view a diverse selection of movies from the GCC and beyond. A total of 146 films from 25 countries were screened at the festival.
