A preliminary meeting took place between the student ambassadors and the organising committee held at the private office of Shaikh Majid bin
Mohammed bin Rashid
Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, where students learned about their responsibilities as ambassadors, along with their role in communicating the award’s objectives among students on university and college campuses.

A total of 16 student ambassadors were selected.

The move aims at encouraging participation, in turn increasing the spirit of the initiative among youth and encouraging community interaction between university students.

Senior projects executive at the private office of Shaikh Majid Fatima Al Sayegh, commented: “This year we’ve introduced a host of new and interesting categories, which is why we wanted to reach out to a larger number of students and provide them with all the information necessary about the award.”

According to the organising committee, the student must portray the right knowledge to represent the award to other students on campus, while maintaining a relationship with the award’s organising committee and the student body.

Ambassadors have been nominated from their universities and colleges and have been personally interviewed by the committee before being accepted.
