Engineer Mohammed Mashroum, Director of the Public Maintenance Department in the Municipality, said the increase in the budget reflects the effective role of the Municipality in school maintenance projects. The direct supervision of Mattar Al Tayer, Deputy Director General of the Municipality, will also help the project, he said.

The General Maintenance Department has signed agreements with several specialised contracting agencies to carry out the maintenance work. The primary design sketches have been approved for each school for implementation soon, Mashroum said, and urged the Maintenance Department to complete the projects on time without affecting the educational process.
