Every Emirati student was awarded a certificate along with a stipend and a souvenir.

In addition to this year’s programme, there has been a special scholarship created to support the highest achievers, which was awarded to a very select group of students for their outstanding performance during the programme.

The awards included a Toshiba laptop and sponsorship for them to continue their education whilst being employed in the group.

Furthermore, on completion of their education, these students would be given the opportunity to be retained by one of the group's companies.

This year's summer school received the largest response ever and attracted applications from over 600 UAE nationals from across the country.

Out of the total, 150 students were selected who then went on to successfully complete the programme.

Omar Al Futtaim, CEO, Al Futtaim Group, said, "The group has been actively supporting Emiratisation in the UAE and the summer school for Emiratis is one such initiative."

Students from Abu Dhabi were also included in this year's programme.
