Legal notice norms simplified
DUBAI — The Dubai Courts has decided to simplify procedures for legal notices.
Legal notice is a document issued by the judges of Shariah court indicating the name of the deceased, heirs and their shares of inheritance, according to Shariah Cases Department official Musa Ghanim.
The old procedure used to take a long time as it demanded the applicant to provide proof of identity and involved a hearing session by the registration section. Then it used to go to judge for approval. The judge can approve the application or postpone the case for witness testimony. This resulted in unusual delays.
Now the arrangements are being made to complete the procedure in one day on condition that applicants provide all needed documents.
