It will remain closed to traffic for approximately two months in order to remove the light poles on the road. This is part of the first phase Al Salam Street improvement project.

Al Salam Street Projects are in line with Plan Abu Dhabi 2030 the long-term vision committed to fostering the economic and social development of the capital. The initiative further establishes Abu Dhabi’s position as a truly modern metropolis on par with the best in the world.

Al Salam Street Projects will pave the way for the creation of a freeway and a series of tunnels, surface roadways and junctions that will run along Al Salam Street leading to Mina Road. The modern road network is expected to ease traffic and significantly reduce travel time across this vital stretch which connects the residential areas to the central business district.
