The campaigners visited schools, colleges, banks, courts, universities and shopping malls, where they distributed publications and held contests for the public, under the supervision of Major Saeed Ali Al Hamar Al Yamahy. A public seminar was held on Monday evening, in which Jamal Al Bouh, former Director of the Marriage Fund and Head of the Arab Family Organisation, and Fatima Al Mugany, Member of the Consultative Council in Sharjah and the Head of Social Development Centre in Khorfakan addressed the gathering.

Jamal Al Bouh has said in his talk that the Arab world today is at crossroads, with Arab families falling prey to consumerism, mothers prefering fast food for their kids, kids rarely sitting with family to eat their meals, and fathers being busy running around for their livelihood. Kids learn about life from the TV and housemaids, rather than from their parents. This reflects the deterioration of Arabian family system, with the divorce rates souring every day , he lamented.

He said that cheap television programmes were destroying and weakening families, by planting the seeds of degeneration in the society. The society needs a moral awakening to get out of a culture that turns those "so called singers" to super individuals, driving thousands of youth to compete for the status of those singers, he critiqued.

He also said that he held talks with officials of the National Football team to urge the players "not to turn up in Western type hair styles and clothes which are incompatible with our traditions." "we have lost our genuine traditions and customs, and now we try to copy the west", he complained.
