Lebanon war journalists honoured

DUBAI — Journalists who covered the war in Lebanon were honoured at a gala dinner at Al Bustan Rotana Hotel in Dubai recently.

The award ceremony was part of the ‘Trillion campaign to build Lebanon’, sponsored by the Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment.

Journalists from various TV channels received awards from Ibrahim Bu Milha, Counsellor, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment. The awardees were Abdel Rahman Naqi from Abu Dhabi TV, Rima Maktabi from AlArabiya News Channel, Katia Nasser from Al Jazeera, Ali Shuaib from Al Manar, Fatima Tawil and Rola Sayegh from Dubai TV, Ahmed Bawab from Future TV, Hoda Baidoun from LBC, Ali Noureddine from NBN and Bassil Aridi from NEW TV. The campaign also featured a charity sale of fashion items, the proceeds of which went to the Lebanese affected by the war.
